We are very serious about offering a tailored exercise solution to each and every mum that visits our studio. Whilst the little ones are very welcome and we have everything you need to make them comfortable, including jumperoos, baby bouncers, carriers, toys etc the session is very much designed and focused around the mum to workout at the level that’s right for her. We are very experienced in tailoring exercises to suit not only the postpartum body but also each individual mum to ensure you gain the very best support, motivation and optimise the precious time you have to spend on yourself.
Often the ‘Little Fitness’ classes are the first experience people have of the Fitness Academy. As their babies grow and turn into toddlers and beyond, they are so used to the environment and set up that they continue to come to classes and happily sit on the sidelines as the mums exercise. We have seen so many little ones from new born grow up throughout years of classes – it’s so rewarding to see.
Alongside our extensive knowledge and experience working with mums we also have teamed up with our in-house Woman’s Health Physio if we need to draw on additional knowledge. It’s our ultimate passion creating an enjoyable supportive exercise experience for those that need it most and motherhood is one of those times.
We will happily cuddle your new born baby, chat to your toddler and hand out snacks when needed, all while teaching your class. The Little Fitness range of classes is probably our most rewarding to teach but also unique for you; you will not find a more personal, caring, supportive environment like it anywhere else.
What’s on Offer
A fast paced low impact cardio and resistance session, a ‘signature’ Fitness Academy class alternating bursts on the spin bike with body weight or kettlebell exercise. Each class is different, variety is the space of life to keep you on your toes! Suitable throughout pregnancy and we run as a ‘Little Fitness’ class so you can bring babies and toddlers along too.
A wonderful all round pilates class for all abilities, a perfect blend of strengthening, lengthening and mobilising exercises to keep you stable, strong, flexible and balanced in both body and mind. We incorporate the use of Swiss Balls, Pilates Balls, resistance bands and tennis balls to keep the classes varied. We place a strong emphasis on education of the basic pilates principles and simple movements executed well to give you optimum benefits. Our classes flow gently, along side calming music to create an uplifting and beneficial experience for everyone. Suitable throughout pregnancy and we run as a ‘Little Fitness’ class you can bring your babies along too.
Not ready for a group class, need a time that suits your babies routine or just feel you need a personalised approach? We can create the perfect exercise session for you and your baby either in our indoor or outdoor studio, depending on your preference. We have jumperoos, play pens, baby carriers….whatever you need to make your baby comfortable while you exercise.
